About Pagudpud

Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte is a fourth class income municipality. The coastal town has mountainous and flat topography. Pagudpud was officially made a municipality on July 5, 1954.

 

People

Locals are friendly and hospitable. You can easily ask for directions or allow them to give recommendations.

Ilocano and Tagalog are the commonly used dialects in Pagudpud. People also speak English.

 

Climate

The weather is typically warm and it is hotter during the months of April and May while November to February are colder. Occasional rains may occur but it is more frequent during the months of June to August.

 

Tourism

Pagudpud features its white sand beaches and beautiful resorts. Some of the places most visited by tourists are the Blue Lagoon and Saud beach. Homestays or transient houses are often sought by tourists to stay.

 

How to Get to Pagudpud

Always plan your trip ahead if you’re going to Pagudpud. Using a private vehicle is often a practical choice. For those who want to commute, here are some options:

By land

There are several bus operators offering a direct trip from Manila to Laoag. You may also choose to go for Manila-Baguio trip and taking Baguio-Laoag bus.

By plane

From Manila, take a domestic flight to Laoag. The trip will be about 45 minutes to an hour. Once you’ve landed on Laoag International Airport, you may take the free shuttle ride which will take you to the city proper.

Once you’re in the city proper, take a local bus which will take you to Pagudpud.
